Brief summary of the month:
Winter 2007 was the warmest on record (1960-2007) with temperatures well above average. Snow falling and lying days were well below average yet again. Sunshine totals were again well above average which means it's now ten consecutive Winters with above average sunshine. Despite this it was in fact the dullest since 2004. Rainfall totals were well above average making it the wettest since 2002. So to sum up, it was a sunny, very mild but wet Winter.
