Brief summary of the month:
Winter 2005 was the warmest since 1998 making it seven mild Winters in the last eight years. It was sunny yet again making it eight Winters in a row with above average sunshine, though it was the dullest since 1998. Rainfall totals were well below average, the driest since 1997. Snowfall was more frequent than last year but amounts were again mostly small. So to sum up, it was a sunny, mild but very dry Winter.
