Brief summary of the month:
September 2003 was another dry month with 17 completely dry days, the driest 
since 1997 with 83% of the average. It was also the 4th sunniest on record behind 
2002, 1991 and 1971 with 140% of the average. September 2003 had warm days but cool 
nights, the mean maximum was the highest since 1999 but the mean minimum was 
the lowest since 1986, with the absolute minimum the lowest since 1991. 
The overall mean temperature for the month was the lowest since 2001.
