Brief summary of the month:
October 2007 was the coolest since 2004 despite the temperature
being above average yet again. It was the driest since 1995 and 
the 3rd driest on record (1960-2007), with just 57% of the 
average. Sunshine totals were above average with 114%, making 
it the sunniest since 2003.
