Brief summary of the month:
October 2002 was the coldest October since 1993. The month was wet yet again with over 100mm for the FIFTH October running, despite this it was in fact the driest month since 1997. The last four Octobers have produced more rain!! Sunshine totals were just above average but it wasn't as sunny as last year.
