Brief summary of the month:
November 2005 was the coldest since 1996, despite the 2nd recording the warmest November day on record. The month was a tale of two halves, after a very mild start the second half of the month turning cold and frosty, the 28th recorded the coldest and snowiest day of the Year. Rainfall totals were just above average with 104%, the wettest since 2002 with the 8th producing the wettest day of the year. Sunshine totals of 193% were way above average making it the sunniest November on record (1960-2005).
