Brief summary of the month:
December 2007 was coldest since 2005, despite average temperatures.
It was another wet December with 120% of the average rainfall,
the wettest since 2005. Sunshine totals were higher than normal
with 131% of the average, the sunniest since 2005. After last
years snowless December this one managed just two days with 
sleet.
